THE BROTHERS’ STORY - PART 1

Brothers Adam and Jacob Ventura grew up in western New York. At a young age, Adam knew he wanted to be a helicopter pilot, and Jacob soon followed suit. They both attended a California flight school straight out of high school, and by the ages of 18 and 20 they were both commercially rated rotor wing pilots. Over the past 14 years they have flown over 7,000 hours each for different companies doing different types of work from flight instruction and EMS, to utility and law enforcement work.

Over the years they listened to complaints from clients they flew with and noticed a couple gaps in the aviation industry. One, pilots were often under trained resulting in both pilots and/or passengers feeling insecure, or worse, in accidents. Often times pilots came out of flight school or the military with hundreds of hours of flight time, but no real practice in real world scenarios or in emergency procedures. Auto-rotations, off-site landings, and low level flying are crucial to most pilot jobs, but they are often under trained.

Another gap they noticed in the aviation industry was between business management and the client. It was as if management sat on the judge’s seat making decisions without addressing the jury. Management was often found to be out of touch with actual field operations, unreachable, and unapproachable. This frustrated clients and employees alike and often created an unspoken disconnect.

JESS’ STORY - PART 2

Jess Ventura (Adam’s wife) grew up in an environment surrounded by entrepreneurs - grandparents, aunts, uncles and parents alike. Her father involved her in the operations of his own business from a very young age, and she always hoped she would someday have a business of her own. Laser focused, that was her goal.

Upon graduating from University, she began building the foundation of Inspired Design, her graphic design company of 10 years. However, while design has been her profession, it’s entrepreneurship that is her passion. Over the years she has delved into other business ventures including partnering in the development of an app, assistance in real estate deals, and most recently she even authored a book. Jess is well known for her hard work and determination to accomplish whatever she sets her mind to do.

Thus, when she saw the opportunities opening in the aviation industry, she took the reigns and combined her skill and laser focus with Adam and Jacob’s knowledge of the industry. Behind the scenes, she managed the certification processes for obtaining the company’s Part 135 and Part 133 certifications, and personally has obtained certifications and ratings that have allowed her to fulfill roles beyond just business management. She is a thermographer, power line inspector, is FITWE certified and still also manages business operations while not entirely giving up her graphic design company. She is truly a “Jill” of all trades.
